Art is tree, life is free.

.

Just as in life, there are no rules in poetry,

One can do whatever, however he sees fit,

Whether ’tis painting stars or sculpting a life tree,

With no body worthy of telling them to quit.

.

To express one’s deepest and one’s most inner thoughts

Or to simply make way for a grand new vision,

No need to hesitate, wildly follow the dots,

In art, only rule love, freedom and great passion.

.

There are no rules in poetry, just as in life,

No matter the odds you face, no matter the strife,

I have faith, I know you can go to such vast lengths,

For you have great courage hidden amidst your strengths.

.

The books I’ve read

.

I cannot remember the books I’ve read,

Dialogues and details have left my head

Only blurry, in the end, they remain

Never to be truly recalled again;

Neither can I the things I have eaten,

Only remnants of some beloved tastes,

Eaten with my heart, oh so pure and chaste,

Which my palate had for long forgotten.

I can’t remember the things I have said

So many lines spoken in this long play

Where I’m the main actor since my first day

Living my role ’til I’m finally dead.

I cannot remember the moments I’ve lived

Only fleeting images, sounds and smells

Of love and tears, and feeling my heart swell,

Even so, they have made me. I have thrived.

.

Washed ashore

.

On this far away land,

Where you have come ashore

After your final stand,

What are you looking for?

*

Now lying on the sand,

After traveling long

And far with your own hand,

Oh, can you hear the song?

*

There exists a secret

Hidden in this kingdom

That so many covet,

*

Have you, though, the wisdom

To open the casket

And its true meaning glom?

.

Oh ‘glom‘ is a real word alright.

Waiting for a train

.

Alone on a platform,

You’re waiting for the train.

You are holding your breath,

Life seems at a standstill,

Time is passing slowly

As you look straight ahead.

Your eyes do not waver

But they are unfocused,

Lost in the dark distance.

You have to make a choice,

You know you must decide.

Your wishes you must voice.

You have no idea

Where it is taking you,

Just that it is going

Far away from this place.

You are still hesitant,

Don’t really want to go,

But somewhere in your mind

You know you just can’t stay.

Life seems at a standstill

As you hold down your breath,

You’re waiting for a train,

Alone on the platform.

.

Try

.

If ever you want to have a go

Whatever you might want to do,

Don’t even think twice, just try it out

There is no need to ask about.

.

Keep on trying, that should be your creed

Repeating over and over,

Do, and again, mistakes don’t matter,

Whether you sweat, whether you bleed,

.

This is not about how hard you hit,

Rather how far you can take it,

Keep getting back up, you will succeed

And one day, you’ll see, from this seed,

.

A magnificent flower will bloom

This, my dear, will be your heirloom,

This will be your greatest achievement,

To the world, your life: your statement.

.

Remember, you are never alone,

No matter if all else is gone

I am, always will be, there for you

My child, whatever you go through.

.

The honour of a dance – I

.

A single look, a simple gaze,

I’m on a hook, completely hazed,

And suddenly I’m feeling brave,

I don’t know what came over me,

Oh what passion, what kind of wave,

Courses throughout my whole body?

And suddenly I crave your love,

You are unique, you are above,

There is only you in this room

Like a flower, ready to bloom

Everyone else, around, dancing,

Seems to revolve only around

You, dazzling in your light blue gown;

I wanna be your prince charming.

.

Meh.

Might have to rework that one.

Forty-two

.

There is an answer to every question,

To each problem exists a solution,

Sometimes you must look with care, with caution,

But always you can find, no exception.

Chuck

.

You know, my friend has had this crazy idea,

That with a simple kiss you’d remember it all,

To me this is a dream, and I know it could fall

Apart so easily, but I love you Sarah.

.

Beyond our horizon

.

Oh I met her in prison,

Back quite a many season

Long before we were rizen,

I’d yet to come to reason;

We barely could bedizen,

Not even a citizen.

All started with a treason,

We refused and fought, risen,

Far over the horizon.
