Not mine, a simple translation of a children’s song from a Breton singer I used to listen to a lot when I was a kid.
In the original text in French, it is detailed that the sheep actually melt in the snow, making the story beautiful and poetic but quite sad (or melancholy at least).
I tried my best but rhymes and fidelity are not always easy to fuse…
